The Association of Kenya Feed Manufacturers (AKEFEMA) successfully hosted the first-ever AKEFEMA Feed Exhibition & Conference (AFEC) at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi, from 16th to 18th July 2024.

The event brought together industry experts, innovators, and stakeholders from across the region under the theme:

“Resilience and Innovation in an Ever-Changing Feed Industry Landscape for Enhanced Food Security in the Region.”

Purpose and Focus

AFEC 2024 provided a platform for:

• Sharing knowledge and expertise within the livestock and feed industry.
• Showcasing innovations, technologies, and business solutions.
• Encouraging collaboration and sustainable practices for regional growth.
• Delegates included feed millers, livestock farmers, researchers, equipment suppliers, technology providers, and financial partners.

Exhibition

AFEC 2024 hosted a vibrant exhibition area featuring:

• 49 exhibiting companies from 19 nationalities.
• 66 booths showcasing products, equipment, and innovations across the feed value chain.
• High engagement between exhibitors and delegates, fostering valuable business networks.

Networking & Social Events

Two key networking events complemented the conference:

• Welcome Cocktail – hosted by partners to open the exhibition and welcome guests.
• Chairman’s Dinner – a special appreciation event for sponsors and exhibitors, offering an ideal platform for final networking and collaboration.
